So what
can I actually do for you?
After years of working for other companies developing
business plans, plus extending the companies portfolio’s
through sales and marketing, managing project and sales teams,
I have decided that I would like to use my experience to offer
this service to you.
Having grown up in a family business, I am aware that there is
always a lot to do and you don’t get enough time for everything.
So here’s your chance to enlist some help.
What have I done?
If you look at the case studies and details under the
services section you will see that I have gained many years' experience,
but fortunately I am not that old yet!
I’ve run JGC for two years providing marketing and PR support. In this time I have successfully gained 12 clients, some are retained whilst others use my services on an ad-hoc basis. For more details about projects undertaken for these clients please view the services or case studies pages.
During my 6 years of working in creative agencies all the clients
I managed were brought in from my own sales activity. I did the
sales plans, targeted, made calls, presentations and converted
the business. Largely my success in this role was by having an
understanding of the clients needs and requirements having worked
in a marketing position myself. I would project manage each item
to ensure that the client had a successful communication piece
when completed, that met their objectives, was on time and to
their budget.
For three years I worked within a packaging consultancy managing a team of Account and Sales Managers and being part of
the management team. In this role I have written the business
plan, forecasting, budgets whilst developing the team and strategically
developing their clients.
For 5 years I worked in-house in a PR and Marketing role. I organised
all the communications both internally and externally, creating
newsletters and PR material. For one of the newsletters I was
shortlisted for an award for Editor of the Year by Popular Communications
and Publishing Magazine. I also produced the marketing plans for
their biggest promotion involving sponsorship of the British Olympic
Team and then created all the tactical activity and launched this
through a series of roadshows.
Whilst working in this role, I was sponsored for a Diploma in
Rental Management. This involved attending the Henley Management
College. The diploma is the same as a management diploma. However,
the final thesis had to be based around the rental market or company.
We covered marketing, accounting, information technology and human
resources.
In the beginning I spent 3 years working in a PR consultancy
in London, writing press releases, features and organising launches
for blue chip companies.
